Making IT Work - Terms and Prices for Computer Services

U Do IT aims to provide high quality computer support and ‘virtual assistant’ IT services to customers, using transparent prices with no hidden extras. The following summary terms of business have been kept as simple as possible. If anything is unclear or you would like a full copy of them please contact me.

The following terms and conditions apply to any work undertaken by Jonathan Veal (trading as U Do IT) on behalf of the customer, unless otherwise agreed beforehand in either writing or by email.

Scope of Work

U Do IT will agree the scope of work in advance with the customer and provide an estimate of the time (in hours) required to complete it. The customer can then choose to contract the for the agreed work on a fixed price quote, or a time and materials basis. This agreement will be confirmed by email, or in writing if required. Due to the nature of the services provided it is not possible to guarantee this estimated time. The customer will only be billed for the actual time taken. No changes to the scope of work will be made, nor will the estimated time be exceeded without the customers' prior agreement.

Pricing

U Do IT charges are £20-30 per hour depending on the nature of the work, unless a fixed price quote has been agreed. After the first hour charges will be applied pro-rata, in 15 minute intervals.

Expenses are charged at 40p/mile for travel to any location over 10 miles from Redditch, B98 9NQ. Any other reasonable expenses incurred in undertaking the scope of work will be re-charged at cost. All expenses will be agreed with the customer in advance.

Payment terms are 'net 10' (10 working days from the invoice date). A discount of 10% will be applied for payment on delivery for the scope of work. U Do IT reserves the right to apply interest on late payments at the prevailing bank interest rate, unless there is a genuine dispute.

Delivery

Delivery of the scope of work will be agreed with the customer beforehand. U Do IT will do their utmost to meet the agreed date(s), but due to the nature of the services provided it is not possible to guarantee them. If it is not possible to meet the agreed date(s) the customer will be advised as soon as possible and given the option to reschedule or cancel.
